"I Heard It Through the Grapevine" needs no introduction is a song written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. Marvin Gaye's version is from his 1968 album In the Groove. It means hearing something informally, about people you know.

The writer suspects that his girlfriend is with another man. Within him a conflict rages, nature willing to give her the benefit of the doubt in the name of love and the desire to save face and acknowledge the situation for what it is.

The National

Almost everyone my age knows this song. But a "Never Tear Us Apart" by The National is the best cover this song from INXS' 1987 album "Kick" could have.

In this case, Triggerfinger is a Belgian rock band from Lier.

I didn't know them and I don't know much about them. Just stumbled across this cover. Fortunately.

London Calling

Despite the last two years of weirdness. I kept a healthy, normal pace.

I've been less often with friends, it's true but as I have a very lively work team I can't complain.

And if there were no books, music, series and movies what would become of us during the lockdown... have you ever thought about it?

Train in vain was ranked number 298 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

I Know I've Been Changed

Normally, I would have taken the car and gone for a drive south. But since January 2020, something has always come up that prevents me from leaving the city. Years ago the Easter holidays were my favorite time to travel. Nowadays with so much bureaucracy, I don't feel like it. Let's let this strange phase pass without precipitation. Still I took good advantage of this week to do the spring cleaning.

"I Know I've Been Changed " by The Staple Singers an American group of gospel, soul and R&B singers.

The 2015 documentary film Mavis! recounts the history of The Staple Singers and follows Mavis Staples' solo career after Pops Staples' death. Directed by Jessica Edwards, the film premiered at the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival and was broadcast by HBO in February 2016.

This is such a great song.

Something In The Way

Something in the Way is a song by Nirvana, written by Kurt Cobain. It is the 12th track on their second album, Nevermind, released in September 1991.
In Azzerad's 1993 biography Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana, Cobain stated that he used to fish in the Wishkah River near this bridge, which may have inspired the lyric, 'It's okay to eat fish, because 'they don't have any feelings.
I saw the movie yesterday and a Batman movie is always a Batman movie.

No big surprises.

How Can You Be Sure?

Probably blogs lost the projection they had before but I'm retro in some things and social networks don't convince me.

“How Can You Be Sure?” was first included on the 1990 demo the band put out before they were officially called Radiohead.

Back from a 9 year vacation ...

I discovered that I had a Blog... for years I didn't remember that I had a blog or several by the way... maybe because I forgot the psw or didn't have time for it ..I'm not sure. It doesn't matter... I will continue to share music that I usually listen to ... I hope you might like it too.
This is the third song on John Cale's Album Fear, a 1974 album.
